A couple of blogs back I wrote A Call For Love. Once you reawaken to Loves Presence, the next call is to keep on Loving.
No matter how many times you mess up, or get let down, or forget to do the thing you wanted to do or can’t quite find the courage yet to say what you need to say, keep on Loving.
Keep meeting yourself with Love, again and again and again, even if you think you don’t really know how to or you’re not even sure what that means. Do it the best you can Now.
The you that struggles sometimes. The you that says the “wrong” things at the “wrong” time. The you that’s avoidant or anxious. The you that’s needing validation, that’s sensitive, thats needing someone else to Love those parts of you that you yourself reject. Love those versions of you into oblivion, until only Love remains.
“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.”
Brené Brown
“Love me as I am!” is a common cry on the battlefield of relationship, as is, “I need you to Love me this way”. Love is not a game of chess and Unconditional Love is a myth if you can’t apply that same Love to yourself first.
Unconditional Love may well be a myth, full stop. Unconditional Love is a very tall order in a realm that is literally held together through attachment. Maybe unconditioned Love is more achievable, a flower needs certain conditions in order for it to thrive, as do Human relationships. If you don’t water and nurture a flower it dies. Relational Love, whether towards yourself or another is no different.
Universal Love. Well that’s a different matter, or not matter at all.

“It’s just semantics,” I hear you say. Maybe that is true, and yet, when the original intent of a word or phrase gets so distorted and becomes, by its incorrect understanding and application a barrier to experiencing it’s true essence, then just maybe it’s time to admit that the ideology attached to the words unconditional Love, is not working out so well for the majority of humanity and that it’s time to change things up a bit. The demand for Unconditional Love is in itself a condition, is it not?
Remember this on Friday. Remember your lovableness is not dependant on how many red roses you get, whether or not your partner gets you a card, or whether or not you even have a partner.
Love knows how to Love. Love is wellspring that pours your Soul out from your Heart, sometimes emerging as a soft bubbling spring and sometimes more like white water rapids! This wellspring NEVER dries up, but you can put a stopper in it’s flow by misidentifying yourself as simply a mind, with no awareness of Heart, with no awareness of Soul. One thing is for sure, if you’re living in a body, you most definitely have both.
Is it time to come home to your Heart? To allow yourSelf to feel again? To Trust that you can feel ALL of your emotions, that this Love within will hold you when another can’t? To Trust it is big enough to behold any pain as well as Joy you might be experiencing?

You are not born of clay alone. There’s an energy coursing through your veins, a Love beyond what you think you know as Love, that wants to be expressed, to be seen, to melt away all barriers, all fears, all judgements that block its emergence.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Love of the Universal kind protects you from the inside out. It allows you to experience relational Love without feeling like you have to give yourself away. It does, should you have the Blessing to meet another whom knows themselves as Love too, open a portal to create a deeper Love that makes both your lives brighter, where each supports the other in being fully who they are, not what each wants the other to be.
When I did not know myself as Love, I felt incomplete, always looking for evidence that I was loveable. When I finally turned my eyes towards my own Heart, the hole of self doubt became once again whole. Those with holes in their Hearts now find it very difficult to dance with me, because no amount of my Love (and believe me, I have a lot to give) can ever fill the void in another and I am called to have Compassion for myself, for this reflection of how I too used to be.
My gaze reflects wholeheartedly the power of this Universal Love, and somedays it’s so intense, for myself and for others, that I want to close my eyes again. But I’ve come too far now to turn my back on Love and She won’t let me forget I AM that.
So whatever else you do, however hard it can feel at times, keep on Loving.

Blessing all the Lovers this coming week. Blessing us all in our eyes of Love.
