Cacao & Collage – Blue Moon for New Beginnings

Join Raye aboard the floating White Tara Sanctuary for a half day creative retreat of heart opening cacao blessings, meditation and intuitive collage making.
We will be communing and creatingin the waxing full “Blue” moon energies (energies peak at 9.45am on the 31st). Many traditions view the Blue Moon (the 2nd full moon in a single month) as a moment of intensified psychic energy, making it an ideal time for meditation, rituals, and divination. Because it signals an “extra-lunar” period, it is often seen as a time for releasing emotional baggage and embracing new beginnings.
The Flower Moon on May the 1st in Scorpio shone a light on all that has been hidden in the depths of our being that is in the way of our blossoming. This coming Blue Moon in Sagittarius carries intensified energy, bringing emotional breakthroughs, sudden clarity, and life-changing decisions. There couldn’t be a more perfect time to wipe your eyes clean of the past and allow a new vision for your future Self to emerge.
OUR FLOW
We will meet at 10.45 in the recommended parking area and walk together onto the island. Once safely snuggled in the boat, we’ll start with a Cacao ceremony to awaken and embody our Heart energies, followed by Heart Words Meditation practice. This will reveal the intentions for your collage.
You’ll then peruse magazines and media and allow yourself to an image that represents the emerging energies of who you are becoming, then pictures, affirmations, words and symbols that awaken your interest and curiosity to support this rebirth, as you cut and stick to create your beautiful A4 sized collage.
It is not unusual for the energies represented in your collage to come to life as this is a vision board emerging from the intuitive depths of your Soul, not just what your mind wants or thinks would be nice! Your collage will act as a reminder of what your Soul is seeking to express through colours, images, sigils and shapes.
🎨 All materials are provided AND you are welcome to bring any old magazines to contribute to pool of images to select from.
☕️ Refreshments of tea and healthy nibbles will be available all day and you will be offered to share in some nourishing homemade vegetarian soup (or you may bring your own packed lunch).
THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BOOKING
Visiting the White Tara Sanctuary is an adventure in itself.
⚓️ White Tara Sanctuary is a narrowboat in a remote location, on the river Nene moored on an island at Wollaston Lock, Wellingborough, within the Nene Valley behind the beautiful Summer Leys Nature Reserve which is home to many species of birds. You may want arrive extra early to go for walk or sit with some binoculars in one of the bird hides!
– The island is at the end of a single track lane with potholes (drive slowly) and passing places. You will need to park at the end of the lane, just past a house on the right and before the first bridge, making sure not to block any gates. This is where we’ll meet and from there we’ll walk up to Wollaston Lock. Depending on the weather you may need wellies or walking books as it can be quite muddy this time of year.
🚗 If you do not fancy driving up the lane, you can park in the Summer Leys Car Park which is pay and display or free if you are a member of the wildlife trust and have sent them your reg. number. To walk from there you will need to allow another 30 minutes walking time. You can also park in the village of Doddington and take a nice walk across 3 fields.
🧻 There are no public toilet facilities on the island. There is a compost toilet (which you are welcome to use), running water, electricity and log burner on the boat. The nearest public toilet (also compost) is in the car park at Summer Leys Nature Reserve of which I have the code if it’s out of hours.
– You need to be mobile and confident to walk from your chosen parking spot to the island on uneven (slippery if muddy) terrain to get to the boat.
– The boat moves and rocks when you get on and off it and when people move around. Raye will be there to help you get on and off safely.
🎨 White Tara is a small, cosy and intimate space, just over 6ft wide internally. Seating is predominantly floor based on cushions. There’s the option for one or two people to sit on a small futon sofa for the collage making. There are no tables so you will make your collage on a lap tray. If it is a warm, sunny day, there is the option to spread out onto the decking.
🐈 Raye has a friendly cat called Tara. Maybe take antihistamine before you come if you’re allergic! She generally loves humans and if she really likes you she’ll nibble your feet.
– You might want to bring your slippers or cosy socks and wear layers as the boat can go from very cool to hot or visa versa, very quickly!
🌟 There are only 4 tickets available for this event, which is all that can fit and allows for deeper sharing within our circles 🌟
☕️ Cacao is included within the ticket price. If you do not wish to (or are unable to) drink Cacao in the ceremony, an alternative ceremonial tea or dandelion coffee latte will be offered.
Waiver of Liability: By booking you are accepting absolute and full responsibility for getting yourself safely to and from the boat and on and off the boat and for checking any contra-indications to Meditation and the drinking of Cacao.
T&C’s: Due to the small number of participants at this event, tickets are non refundable but are transferable.
Raye and Tara look forward to welcoming you into their floating home and Sacred Sanctuary to create beautiful collages and to keep the threads of in-person community, creativity and sharing alive. Blessed Be 💫
