It’s Been A While.. Here’s Why

In short… After my last post which was 1st September 2025, I unexpectedly (damn my human design right angled cross of the unexpected!) got told I wasn’t allowed to return to the marina I was moored at after I’d left quite unawares of what was to come, to get my boat blacked.

On the way there, I passed the island where I used to be moored on Lily Pearl (my old widebeam) and bumped into the new owner whom informed me she had a space if I’d like it. I told her, “I’m good for now thanks” and headed off up the river to then receive an email (yes an email!) from the marina telling me I couldn’t return. I was in dispute with the marina over a bill that had been issued relating to my boat for an incident that happened when I was away in Devon previously and had not even been able to have a face to face conversation

I phoned the lady up on the island and said, “Actually, I think I’m gonna need that space after all!” Everything I was planning got completely disrupted and the shock of it all resulted in me needing time to reassess.

As those of you know that have been following me for a while, I have severe time blindness. The disruption broke the magic of consistency I had been cultivating and I dropped the thread. Today I am picking it up again!

Meditation Cafe has moved to Sundays at 8pm:

Here’s the link for all Sundays in March. Remember you need to register each week you want to join in.

Each week there’s a different theme for Self Enquiry and as a focus for our Heart Words Meditation.

Tonight we’re exploring Humility as the antidote to arrogance. Arrogance clings to identity. Humility is Wisdom in action, a form of egoless surrender. It requires the ability to self reflect, to act accordingly and trust in ones own virtue (which needs no external validation), even if that means we will be disliked.

Humility is the ability to behold the polarity of human experience without taking it so personally. Where arrogance speaks for certainty, justification and validation. Humility speaks because it needs speaking, even it it’s uncomfortable to do so.

Humility requires an open and receptive Heart. Heart Words Meditation helps us loosen the knots of our arrogance. We learn in the Silence to first meet ourselves with Compassion, then Humility naturally extends out to the wider world.
